The company was founded in 2004 by Kevin Grant and his wife Hanli and includes 50 hectares of land planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinotage and Cinsault. It is located in the highest part of Hemel en Aarde, protected in the north by the Babylonstoren mountain range. Being one of the most significant estates in the South African wine scene, it produces wines of incredible finesse, balance and depth. Prior to buying Ataraxia, Kevin worked for some of the most important South African wineries and has gained experience in France, Oregon, Australia and New Zealand. Great attention to vineyards and winemaking techniques are his most important qualities. Volcanic interpreter of a loved terroir, he offers us precise, technically indisputable wines.
